J. William Overbay is the senior minister at Brady Lane Church of Christ. He has been serving and ministering at BLC for the last 19 years. J. William is passionate about God’s House, he is committed to building the House and unlocking people’s potential so that they can connect with the reason they are on the planet.

Role of Staff in the Church

To Serve and Build

The goal of Brady Lane Church staff is to serve and build up the church body. They do this by helping organize the work of ministry and carrying out the vision, strategy and values of this organization.

Making Vision Practical

They are responsible for helping make our vision a practical reality. They help guide churchgoers through our strategy for spiritual growth toward our collective vision. While we have the same hope for all who come to Brady Lane Church, ministers for children's and student's ministries encourage these things in age appropriate ways.

Service and Leadership

The staff offers spiritual and practical leadership and service to our congregation. Their role is NOT to do all of the work of the church. Rather, it is to give the body what they need to do the work of ministry as Ephesians 4:11-13 describes.
